Historic Charleston Wedding | Mary + Jordan

As a wedding photographer, every couple I work with has a unique love story to tell. Mary and Jordan's wedding in Charleston was no exception. From the moment I met them while shooting their engagement session in Seattle, I knew their special day would be filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

The charming city of Charleston, South Carolina, provided the perfect backdrop for Mary and Jordan's wedding. Known for its historic charm and Southern hospitality, Charleston was the perfect place to celebrate their romantic union.

The day began early, with Mary getting ready at their venue, The Gadsden House, surrounded by her closest friends and family. Mary was a vision of beauty as she prepared to marry the love of her life. Her gown was elegant and timeless, with intricate lace details that shimmered in the morning light.

Mary and Jordan’s first look was in front of an old fireplace, with a gorgeous floral installation by Noah with The Bearded Florist. It was filled with tears and emotions as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. Before the ceremony, we ventured to some of Charleston's most picturesque locations for photos. Mary and Jordan rented a vintage Mercedes from WhipDash to take photos with in the cobblestone streets. The historic streets in Charleston were a stunning backdrop for capturing Mary and Jordan's love.

The ceremony took place in the courtyard of the Gasden house. As Mary walked down the aisle, escorted by her father, Jordan's face lit up with joy and love. There was such a special moment, where Jordan’s mother touches his arm as he is watching Mary walk down the aisle. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with the couple exchanging vows and rings in front of their loved ones.

As guests joined cocktail hour on the wrap around porches of the venue, the courtyard was transformed into a perfect setting for dinner to start and the evening to take place.

Throughout the day, it was clear that Mary and Jordan shared a deep and abiding love. Their connection was evident in every glance, every touch, and every smile. It was an honor to capture their special day and to witness the beginning of their happily ever after.

As the night came to a close, Mary and Jordan made their exit under a canopy of sparklers, surrounded by their cheering guests. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day, and I know that their love will only continue to grow stronger with each passing year.

Working with Mary and Jordan was a joy, and I am grateful to have been a part of their special day. Their love story is one that I will carry with me always, and I wish them a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure together.
