My approach

When you hire me as your wedding photographer, my goal is from our first phone call to when I deliver your gallery to truly feel like your friend. I’m here for you and will help guide you throughout this whole process.

While I’m documenting your wedding — I’m focused on capturing your desired photographs, story-telling moments you never knew were there, small details that make up the big picture, portraits of you and all of your people, and a very fun dance party. I’m relaxed, and easygoing and bring that energy to any wedding day.

So let’s grab a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and make some magic happen. 

The Process

 
  1. Inquire!

Woohoo! You did it. Once I receive your inquiry, I always try and respond within 24-48 hours. I send over my pricing guide along with any travel fees associated. Once you take a look, I would love to set up an initial phone call with you to get to know each other and see if we would be a good fit!

 

2. Book!

When you decide to book with me, I will send over a proposal and upon signing I take a 50% deposit to hold your date in my calendar. Once you pay the deposit and sign the contract, I’M ALL YOURS! If you have added an engagement session we will get that planned right away. I know that wedding planning can be a lot so I’m here for any questions you may have along the way! We will keep in touch and two months out, I send over a questionnaire that ask for all of the details I will need to know to put together my day of photography timeline. We will schedule a phone call 7-10 days out from your wedding to chat and get on the same page!

It’s finally your wedding day — take it in, have so much fun, and leave the rest up to me.

GUIDANCE

How long will it take you to edit my photos?

I always send out sneak peeks within 72 hours of your wedding! For your full wedding gallery it takes me about 6-8 weeks to deliver. For any other kind of shoot you can expect them back in 2-3 weeks.

How many photos will I receive from my wedding?

You can expect 50-100 photos per hour of coverage!

Will you travel out of state for my wedding? International?

ONE. HUNDRED. PERCENT. Traveling is very important to me. I love immersing myself in new places and cultures and would love to share that experience with you. Travel fees depend on where your wedding or session will be, but I'm always willing to work with you to make it happen.

We’ve never had professional photos taken before— How do you make us not look awkward?

I always tell people that I want our photoshoot to just feel like a hang out sesh! I want to be your friend and someone you can totally feel comfortable with. I try not to focus on posing too much and instead creating a space and inviting you in to be yourselves! Something I love to do with couples is ask you questions about you + your person so you can talk about them together. It's a fun way to relax and reminisce! We’ll play some music and maybe bring along a bottle of champagne or mimosas which never hurt! And if it’s your wedding day the biggest thing to focus on is the fact that you are living out your DREAM and marrying your very best friend. You do you and I'll do me!

Can we bring our dog?

Honestly the more dogs the merrier!

Should I add a second shooter? If so, who is it going to be?

Having two photographers at your wedding is a great way to get different perspectives throughout the day. I always recommend hiring a second shooter if you have a larger wedding, are getting ready in two different locations or your wedding is very detailed oriented. I'm capable of shooting a lot of weddings on my own, but just know that I'm not able to be in two places at once. Who is your second shooter going to be, you ask? I have a tight knit network of other photographers and ask well in advance if they are able to shoot with me. For domestic weddings, I ask people in the city where your wedding is and for International weddings, I will bring someone with me. I'm more than happy to chat through this more in depth on a phone call!

How do you deliver your photos?

I will deliver your photos through an online gallery! It is nicely laid out and very easy to use. If it is a wedding gallery then it will be split up into different parts of the day so you are able to find what you are looking for. You are able to create a favorite list, download individual photos or the full gallery and print/use as you please!

What if we cancel or reschedule our date?

I totally understand that reschedules or cancellations can happen. I just ask that you fully communicate with me your plans, so that we can act accordingly. If you decide to cancel your wedding, your deposit is non-refundable. If you re-schedule to a prime Saturday in wedding season (June-September) there is a $500 re-schedule fee that applies. Hopefully neither of these things have to happen, so let's just take it one step at a time!

What do we wear to our photoshoot?

First and foremost, please wear whatever you are comofrtable in! I'm a big fan of solid/neutral colors, but in the end it's your shoot and up to you. Feel free to send me outfit options, as I'm happy to put in my opinion.

Do you shoot other things besides weddings?

Y-E-S! I have experience shooting just about everything.
